Join me on this guided culinary tour of the world famous Causeway Coast of Northern Ireland to celebrate all that is special about the area's produce. Adding to our unique foodie tour family, we are delighted to launch a new collaboration with the Northern Ireland Potato Festival 2017 at the beautiful location of the Giants Causeway for our Coast and Country tour series.
This guided tour by luxury coach will showcase some of the best local produce the Causeway Coastal Route has to offer, with our humble spud being the star attraction! Sit back, relax and savour the flavours that make this area and our award-winning produce so unique.  
We will be making a series of stops along the beautiful Causeway Coastal route with each one celebrating our potato breeding & growing heritage. These will include stops with potato growers & producers, a themed lunch at one of our area’s most iconic attractions and an opportunity to enjoy a delicious cocktail featuring Ireland’s first potato distilled vodka!
Guests will be collected at 10.30am at The Causeway Hotel, you will have the chance to sample local food and drinks at each stop so please come hungry! Guests will then be brought back to The Causeway Hotel where they can then join in with a special community evening event to launch the NI Potato Festival.

Catch and Sea Ballintoy

Adding to our unique foodie tour family & along with Causeway Lass, we are delighted to launch a new collaboration with Roark's Kitchen at the beautiful location of Ballintoy Harbour for our sunrise fishing breakfast experience!

A fantastic opportunity to further explore our stunning Causeway coastline and experience sea-fishing first-hand. You can enjoy the fruits of your labour by having your catch cooked where authentic home-cooking really is at its best and enjoy all the sights and sounds around you!
 
Leaving Ballintoy Harbour, just before daybreak in The Causeway Lass, we will catch our breakfast in the crystal clear waters of the Causeway Coast, as the sun slowly rises over The Mull of Kintyre and Rathlin Island. With the exception of waterproof clothing and suitable footwear, all fishing equipment and bait is provided along with tuition as to its use. During the trip tea and coffee will be available.
 
Your breakfast will be dependent on the variety of fish caught, but Mackerel is almost certain to be on the menu. The fun of fishing is, ‘you never can tell!’. Having caught, cleaned and learned about the days catch; we will head to Roark's Kitchen, where our bounty will be prepared and paired with local, home-made produce to create our breakfast.
 
We are excited to be able to work with local providers to share this unique opportunity with you.

Coast and Country Tour

Enjoy a special culinary day out and make new friends along the way!     

This guided tour will showcase some of the best local produce and hidden gems the North Coast has to offer. Sit back, relax and savour the flavours that make this area so unique.  

We will be making 5 stops along the beautiful Causeway Coastal route with each one offering a delicious & surprising taste experience! These include sample tasting at the world’s oldest licensed whiskey distillery, feasting on local fish prepared by fabulous chefs and a farm stop where we will meet the producers behind our fantastic produce.

Starting in Coleraine, the tour by luxury midicoach will last for approximately 6 hours. You will have the chance to sample local food and drinks at each stop so please come hungry! After lunch our coach will return you to Coleraine.

Enjoy this time together to eat, discover and take home foodie goodies and see for yourself why this area is our food heaven!

Causeway Coast Foodie Tours, in collaboration with The Causeway Lass and Babushka in Portrush, can offer a truly unique experience unlike anything else found anywhere in Ireland.

At this time of the morning we may well encounter dolphins, basking sharks etc. so it is advisable to bring along a camera. 
Having caught, cleaned and learned about the days catch; we will head to Babushka, where our bounty will be prepared and paired with local, seasonal produce to create a breakfast to be enjoyed overlooking the West Strand.
